Chapter One · The Meeting

Our paths crossed in the Maldives, nine years ago, amidst the backdrop of our workplace. In a quiet yet profound way, Sobah captured Nadine's heart through his gentle and unwavering attention. His presence was never overwhelming, but it was always felt, and he was undeniably the most handsome man to catch her eye. Deep down, she knew he was someone she could never regret letting into her life. Nadine captured Sobah's heart with a laugh he now attempts to evoke intentionally, and her vibrant spirit brightens his entire world whenever she walks in. Five years ago, that friendship transformed into something deeper, and now we stand on the brink of celebrating this beautiful love story.

Chapter Two · Building a Life

Over the past five years, we have built a life together through ordinary days and extraordinary adventures. We explored new places, chased careers we love, discovered new passions, celebrated milestones, weathered challenges, laughed often, and learned that love is less about grand gestures and more about choosing each other, every single day.

Chapter Three · The Proposal

In addition to Nadine winning Sobah's heart, it was her homeland of South Africa that captivated him during his initial visit, quickly transforming into a place he cherished as his second home. He cherished the vineyards, the warmth of long braais, and the moments when Nadine's dad revealed the secrets of a master chef to Sobah, all while the fire crackled and cheers filled the air. A perfectly grilled steak paired with a fine bottle of red wine made these gatherings even more special. What began as a delightful experience we could all share easily transformed into a cherished tradition, offering us warmth each time we indulge ourselves in it.

In the heart of Stellenbosch, a traditional bottle of red wine accompanied a delectably cooked steak at The Fat Butcher, a well-known and highly recommended beef restaurant by Nadine's culinary experts, Hanno and Line. It was here that Sobah chose to propose to Nadine, creating a memorable moment that would forever be cherished. It came straight from the heart, overflowing with tears of joy from both Nadine and Sobah!

Chapter Four · The Promise

On the first day of April in the year 2026, during a close gathering of family in Johannesburg, we exchanged our vows to each other. It was a profound and significant occasion in the lives of both Nadine and Sobah, filled with intimacy and deep meaning.

Our Commitment Celebration weekend marks a significant moment, but it is not the start of our journey together; that chapter has already started. This weekend is a time to honor the commitment we share with those who have influenced our journeys, supported us through thick and thin, and accompanied us every step of the way.

A local braai get-together with a twist of luxury on the historic werf at Vergenoegd Löw. This relaxed yet refined evening will bring us together around the coals, celebrating the flavours of the Cape with seasonal produce, estate wines, and the warmth of good company.

We've taken care of every detail so you can simply arrive and enjoy. Throughout the weekend, you'll be staying in the estate's Luxury Cottages featuring their own private plunge pool or in a Deluxe Suite with their own private jacuzzi, peaceful vineyard and mountain views, and personalised concierge service for effortless transfers between all weekend events.

A shared home in the vineyards

Our Cape Dutch–style Luxury Cottages will be shared amongst close family and friends, with each guest or couple enjoying their own private master bedroom and en-suite bathroom. It's the perfect balance of privacy and togetherness, creating a wonderful home-away-from-home for the weekend.

Our Deluxe Suites are located adjacent to the Presidential Suite, placing guests just moments from the weekend's celebrations. These beautifully appointed suites offer the same warm hospitality and easy access to every gathering throughout the estate.

Getting There

From Cape Town International

Vergenoegd Löw is roughly a 25-minute drive from CPT. Should you require airport transfers to and from the farm, we're arranging transfers on Friday 16 October and return transfers on Sunday 18 October.

To be included, please share your flight details with Nadine as soon as they're booked.

Driving yourself? There is safe, secure parking on the estate throughout the weekend.
